O miradouro do Ilhéu, em Câmara de Lobos, fica situado no rochedo sobranceiro ao mar onde segundo alguns autores terá sido o local da primeira residência de João Gonçalves Zarco, descobridor da ilha pois o ilhéu dar-lhe-ia mais segurança. Segundo a história a denominação de ilhéu dada a este rochedo deve-se ao facto deste ter estado totalmente rodeado pelo mar que contudo depois da queda de terrenos terá estabelecido a ligação a terra. Deste miradouro, pode-se observar o Cabo Girão, a praia do Vigário, o Largo da República e parte da enseada .
